A Team is A Human!

A company team is made up of people,
So need the Health Check-up!

Just like a person has a body and mind, a team also has a structure and spirit. That's why, just as people get health check-ups, a team should also get a "Team health check-up."

When we think about the structural aspects of a team, like bones and muscles in a body, it's important to examine how well team members are positioned in their roles and how effectively they are performing their tasks.

For the systems of the team, similar to how we check the digestive, nervous, and respiratory systems in a medical exam, we need to review the team’s decision-making processes, rules, and workflows.

To assess the team’s vision and emotional state, like how a psychiatrist would evaluate stress and emotional well-being, we should look at the team’s atmosphere, management philosophy, and sense of purpose.

Even if we just check these three areas, we can get a basic idea of the team’s health.

Very simple, Must be simple!

It’s not always necessary to hire a consulting firm with a lot of cost for a detailed analysis. Just by interviewing team members and other colleague, we can get main state of the team’s health. HR can then combine these interview results with their own observations to provide a comprehensive assessment.

This assessment should be reported to management along with recommended actions, like a doctor’s prescription. These actions could include reorganizing the team, changing rules, or launching team culture campaigns to solve team issues.

A team is like a person—a very big person. For the team to survive and thrive, it must stay healthy. In today’s fast-changing world, maintaining the health of the team is crucial for creating value and ensuring growth.
