So many leaderships

There are so many books about being a good leader that big bookstores have special areas just for them. You can also find lots of information about leadership on the internet. Many companies teach their workers about leadership both in person and online. There are a lot of types of leadership that sound similar but are a bit different. Some examples are servant leadership, emotional leadership, winning leadership, caring leadership, and talking leadership. There are so many kinds!
Why are there so many types of leadership? You might think everyone wants the same things from a leader, but actually, people want different things. Each person talks about the kind of leader they want based on what they think is important. Then they give it a catchy name.
Some people don't like the idea of bosses having too much power. They came up with "servant leadership," which says leaders should act more like helpers. The word servant goes well with followership. Some people who are very emotional talk about "emotional leadership" or "caring leadership." They think a kind, warm leader is best. Other people who care more about getting things done talk about "winning leadership." They think a leader should focus on results and being strong.
You can put any word in front of "leadership" because there are so many types. Different situations, different leader personalities, and different groups of people all need different kinds of leadership.
Rescuing leadership from a sea of concepts
I'm worried that leadership, which is really important, is getting too complicated. If you like the leaderships above, you might not find very exciting things in my article. I’m not talking about what kind of leader people like best. Instead, I’m trying to explain leadership using ideas from physics, the highest logical theory in the world.
A lot of what people say about leadership now is just about what kind of leader they want. That's why there are so many types.
But there's one basic idea of leadership. It's simply the power to guide or direct something. We need to think about leadership in a new way. We should look at it using ideas from physics - the science that explains how things move and work. We'll use ideas from famous scientists like Newton and Einstein. The fact that we need to use basic science ideas to explain leadership shows that current ideas about it have gotten off track.
